This team brings end to end data integration and advanced analytics (pre-clinical, biomarkers, process development, CMC, clinical) in the mRNA CoE. Deploying and exploiting digital solutions (AI/machine learning, data, analytics) to integrate the full data value chain, extracting actionable information for a move to a full data driven strategy and decision-making process, to increase probability of success and to accelerate mRNA vaccines and therapeutics development and launch. In this position, you will work in collaboration with other mRNA CoE platforms scientific and technical experts located in the US and in France, bringing practical knowledge and experience in applying mechanistic/knowledge and data driven models to process development and manufacturing for optimization of mRNA vaccines and therapeutics Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) processes. ABOUT GROWING WITH US FOR WINNING WITH US In this role you will Represent the mRNA CoE Data and Computational Science team in platform and project technical teams as subject matter expert and contribute to the overall DS/DP and CMC data strategyYou will be responsible for identifying, setting strategy and delivering for 1 to 2 end to end process modeling projects in process development, CMC, including predictive modeling in the context of mRNA DS/DP processesPartner with chemists, formulators, analysts, engineers, and other scientists across mRNA CoE to rapidly design robust Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) processesBring broad knowledge and expertise in deterministic/mechanistic, statistical and hybrid models for process data hybrid modeling for mRNA Drug Substance and Drug Product development and manufactureDesign, develop and validate robust solutions, computational tools and pipelines in support of data rich, high throughput experimental workflows that support DS and DP process design, optimization, and troubleshootingMaintain a well-documented, reusable codebase, and traceable model historyMaintain awareness of latest developments in relevant fields, evaluates and applies as warrantedGenerate IP and participate in the drafting of patent filingsPreparation and publication of scientific papers and congress reportsDemonstrate good software engineering practicesProactively identify, assess, and internalize emerging technologies and methods ABOUT YOU Competencies & Requirements for position PhD in Chemical, Biochemical or Pharmaceutical Engineering, Process statistics, Physics, or related discipline with focus on computational modeling of biopharmaceutical process and unit operations. 3+ years post-doc experience; preferentially in industryDemonstrated track record developing solutions and delivering insights from using statistical, mechanistic and hybrid modeling for bioprocesses, process monitoring and controlKnowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE), Multivariate Analysis, and statisticsExpertise in modeling of time series data and/or dynamic process dataPractical experience proposing, prototyping and deploying novel algorithms; developing and validating new modelsExperience with software development good practices (code versioning, testing, etc.)Strong combination of theoretical knowledge, analytical and critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills with proven ability to work independently to learn new technologies, techniques, processes, languages, platforms, systemsGood communication scientific writing and presentation skills, ability to simplify complex problems and communicate complex solutions in a simple and effective manner with customer-oriented mindsetGood networking skills and fluent interactions with one or more scientific communitiesUnderstanding of vaccine development processes is a plus, as well as familiarity with RNA processes and RNA-centric techniques/methodsFluent in English #mRNA
