We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative & experienced scientist with a strong background and proven track record in the field of oncology to join our Molecular Oncology team at our Vitry site. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES We are seeking a person with a strong background in the field of Oncology, a passion for laboratory work and cutting-edge science and a team player attitude. The scientist will work with talented and motivated colleagues in Sanofi Oncology Research, will be closely connected with drug discovery research projects and will have the possibility to attend conferences and scientific trainings. We are looking for a person with a background in Oncology and in-depth experience in cell biology and molecular biology. The scientist's work will be largely laboratory-based and will include planning and conducting of experiments, recording, analyzing and critically evaluating data and presenting results to research staff and management. The scientist is further expected to develop plans for short-term work activities on own projects and to gather input from publications and assistance from colleagues for novel methods and aspects on the job whenever necessary. Examples of technical skills and standard methods routinely required for this position are: Cell culture of human tumor cell lines, techniques used for target validation studies (DNA cloning, CRISPR, siRNA, shRNA technologies and the corresponding rescue studies), knowledge on multiple phenotypic cell growth readouts, use of gene reporter assays, as well as technologies permitting in cell biomarker detection at the protein and RNA level. Furthermore, small molecule compound activity is routinely evaluated in different types of assays as support to Molecular Oncology projects using manual as well as robotic equipment. Examples of project related skills are: Understanding project scope and own perimeter of activity, pin-pointing critical gaps and pro-actively as well as creatively working towards closing these gaps, communicating and exchanging on possibilities and limits with different project team members. EDUCATION & SKILLS We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate and experienced individual with a master's degree or for a highly motivated, passionate and junior individual with Ph.D. in Molecular Biology/Oncology with publications in internationally recognized journalsExperience in flow cytometry, immunological assays, cell-based assays, gene editing and molecular biologyStrong analytical, organizational and communication skillsCuriosity and willingness to work in collaboration with internal and external partnersProactive and independent in daily laboratory research activityExcellent teamwork skills and flexibilityFluent English speaking, reading, and writing skills, basic French speaking skills are welcome but not mandatory
