The Sanofi Oncology Research department is a global department located on two sites: Cambridge, U.S., and Vitry-sur-Seine, France. For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated scientist for our Molecular Oncology Department in France. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES We are seeking a person with a strong background in the field of Oncology, a passion for laboratory work and cutting-edge science and a team player attitude. The scientist will work with talented and motivated colleagues in Sanofi Oncology Research, will be closely connected with drug discovery research projects and will have the possibility to attend conferences and scientific trainings. We are looking for a person with a background in Oncology and in-depth experience in cell biology and molecular biology. The scientist's work will be largely laboratory-based and will include planning and conducting of experiments, recording, analyzing and critically evaluating data and presenting results to research staff and management. The scientist is further expected to develop plans for short-term work activities on own projects and to gather input from publications and assistance from colleagues for novel methods and aspects on the job whenever necessary. Examples of technical skills and standard methods routinely required for this position are: Cell culture of human tumor cell lines, techniques used for target validation studies (CRISPR, siRNA, shRNA technologies and the corresponding rescue studies), knowledge on multiple phenotypic cell growth readouts (CTG, Vicell, Incucyte, clonogenic assays), use of gene reporter assays (luciferase, GFP), as well as technologies permitting in cell biomarker detection at the protein and RNA level (Western blot, ELISA, and RTqPCR). Furthermore, compound activity is routinely evaluated in different types of assays as support to Molecular Oncology projects using manual as well as robotic equipment.
